FOREIGNER's MICK JONES Reveals Parkinson's Disease Diagnosis
Feb 21, 2024 · Oh- that makes sense. He was at the Foreigner tour but didn’t perform at the local show. We could tell that something was up. He created some of the most recognizable riffs in 80’s rock. Sad to hear about his condition.
Foreigner had no OG members last night : r/ClassicRock - Reddit
Jul 23, 2023 · I saw Foreigner last night and they kicked ass. I was still very upset to see that Mick Jones was not there, meaning no original members were in the band. Look, I am not gonna get totally bent out of shape over this. I had a great time and the current Foreigner is, in all honestly, one of the tightest live bands I've seen in aged.
If all the original members are gone is it really still “The”band?
I went to see Foreigner recently. Great songs and really talented musicians. The night I went, Mick Jones chose to sit out. This left a few long term band members on stage, bout absolutely nobody from the original line-up. I still enjoyed the songs and the show, but the more I thought about it it took on a kind of Vegas-y feel.

Is either Styx or Foreigner going to have their original lead
Unfortunately no one is still original in Foreigner unless Mick Jones shows up, but I don’t think he plans on it. Kelly Hansen is an AMAZING singer though and there’s honestly times where I like his spin on Foreigner songs better than original. It can stink not having the lineup from the record there, but these bands are still just amazing ...

Kelly Hansen is fantastic singer in Foreigner : r/LetsTalkMusic
Aug 11, 2022 · I saw Foreigner as an opening act at Pine Knob a couple years ago. They did put on a really good show and Kelly Hansen did a fine job as frontman. But the band was pretty much a Foreigner tribute band at that point. Mick Jones was the only original member and he only played on two songs (and he did not look to be in good shape).
Why isn’t foreigner in the rock and roll hall of fame
Jan 16, 2024 · Foreigner vs Styx vs BOC is an interesting take; 70's era Styx is a very different animal than 80s. BOC was a critics darling for the first few records, blew up the world with Reaper, and have the largest catalog of the 3, as well as more live shows than any other touring band (over 4400 a/o end of 2023) in music.
I know people hate on Foreigner for being “Corporate Rock
Mick Jones was probably a better writer/producer than musician, but dude could still play. The original drummer Dennis Elliot was a beast in concert. A lot of the blame for what we call corporate rock should be on the radio industry for totally unimaginative programming that made us grow tired of a band like Foreigner by never exploring their ...
