Aaron Glenn, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator, has been hired by the new York Jets as their next head coach.

The New York Jets are bringing back the passing game coordinator position on their coaching staff under Aaron Glenn. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Scott Turner formerly of the Las Vegas Raiders was hired in New York as the team’s passing game coordinator.

Glenn and the Jets will need to hire assistant all across the locker room in New York to help out the new head coach, from the various coordinator positions to positional-specific roles. Those hires are slowly starting to be announced.

Aaron Glenn has already made hires for the most important spots on his coaching staff, but over the last couple of days the Jets have brought in additional coaches. Scott Turner will serve as the team’s passing game coordinator.
