The Trump administration said that a judge’s order blocking Elon Musk’s government efficiency team from accessing Treasury Department payment systems wrongfully prevents Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent from doing his job,

President Trump rebuked a federal judge’s decision that the Treasury Department should block access to anyone “other than civil servants with a need for access to perform their job duties” from its payment systems.

The decision comes after 19 state attorneys general sued the federal government alleging DOGE staffers didn’t have authority to access the systems.
