PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Testimony began on Monday in the trial of a Pitcairn man who was charged with shooting and killing an Uber driver.

Nearly three years after Christina Spicuzza was kidnapped and killed, the trial for the man charged in her death got underway Monday.

A man accused of shooting and killing an Uber driver is on trial at the Allegheny County Courthouse.Calvin Crew is accused of killing Christina Spicuzza in February 2022. A jury heard opening statements from the prosecution and Crew's defense attorney Monday.

Calvin Crew is charged in the kidnapping and murder of Christina Spicuzza, a crime captured on video. Prosecutor say Crew is the man seen putting a gun to Spicuzza’s head, attempting to rob her and finally shooting the mother of four.

During Tuesday’s testimony, prosecutors played a video of county detectives questioning Calvin Crew about what happened to Christina Spicuzza.
