According to a report, two new front-runners have emerged to sign Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold in free agency.

The Minnesota Vikings had an exceptional 2024 regular season in large part because Sam Darnold had a career year. The former No. 3 pick proved that he's more than capable of being a starting quarterback in the NFL.

The performance has Mayfield breaking a Buccaneers franchise record that even Tom Brady didn't acquire during his time in pewter and red. In just two years with the team, Mayfield has already earned two Pro Bowl invitations, making him the first quarterback in franchise history to accomplish the feat.
