Missing the show just weeks before Election Day was considered by some analysts as a major setback for Harris's White House bid.

Joe Rogan said former aides to Kamala Harris lied when they claimed in a new book that the Spotify podcaster refused to make time for the ex-vice president during the election campaign because he instead preferred to interview President Donald Trump.

The book, by Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, details the Harris camp’s frustration with the Rogan booking process. The book said that the Harris campaign arranged an event with Beyoncé in Houston on Oct. 25 in order to fit with a possible Rogan sitdown in nearby Austin.

Rogan said Harris’ campaign kept offering for him to go Washington to do a show, but it could only be for an hour, tops, but the podcast host wanted the interview done in his studio, saying it had to be “the actual real show” and not “some fake version where I’m sitting in a conference room.”
