Taking to social media, Nothing has confirmed that the Phone (3a) will return to Snapdragon, where previously it was powered by MediaTek hardware. That will be welcome news for many buyers with Carl Pei confirming that the phone is more powerful than the previous iteration.

Reports suggest that the Nothing Phone 3a might be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The device is also expected to feature a 6.8-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it is likely to run on Nothing OS 3.1, based on Android 15, and maintain the brand’s signature Glyph interface.

Pei also said that one of the areas that Nothing wanted to improve with the launch of the Phone 3a Series is its camera.
