A judge has ordered Louisiana State University to fully reinstate a professor who was removed from his teaching duties last month after he used vulgar language to criticize Gov.

A tenured LSU law professor removed from his classes pending an investigation into alleged political comments is suing the university, saying it violated his First Amendment rights and its own policies.

LSU must immediately allow law professor Ken Levy to return to teaching, an East Baton Rouge Parish district judge ruled Tuesday night. The university is also barred from interfering with Levy's employment — including suspension — and from violating his free speech and due process rights,
