Jay Johnson and the LSU Tigers will return to Alex Box Stadium on Friday to begin a three-game series against the Omaha Mavericks. Johnson and Co. enter the series riding a four-game winning streak after sweeping the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons followed by a victory over the Southern Jaguars.

LSU baseball avoided taking its first loss of the season as the Tigers held off Omaha for a 4-2 win Friday evening.

After Mother Nature threw a wrench in LSU's plans, the Tigers were not able to face Nicholls Wednesday night. Instead, they had to wait til Friday for their next game. After a good outing last week, Kade Anderson got the Friday night start again.
